This is a link to my video breifly explaining RAM and ROMhttps://app.biteable.com/videos/preview/1062946/14a6cb7beb885d04450168e18a48ad368b118199
Summary
ROM
ROM is Read-only memory, which stores information that does not need booting up for the computer to run in order to make the computer operate when it is turned on. This is called hardware.
It stores the program instructions for rebooting up the computer and allows reading.
It is non-volatile, so its data is stored when the computer is turned off.
The three types are PROM, EPROM and EEPROM - which are explained further in the video.
RAM
RAM is Random access memory, it can be accessed randomly in any order, at any time.
It allows the computer to read information quickly and can be read from and written to.
It is volatile, so its data is lost when the power is switched off.
The types are Static RAM and Dynamic RAM - which are explained further in the video.
